SP!N
“This is my BOOMSTICK!”
SP!N was a charitable art exhibition for the Drumchapel Table Tennis Club (DTTC). The project showcased 42 table tennis paddles designed by artists, designers and illustrators from across Scotland.
Participating artists were asked to create a design based on either “balance, resilience or strength”, three words closely aligned with the sport.
Being a huge Evil Dead fan, I remembered the immortal quote of Ash when all hope seems to be lost in the battle verses the Deadites...
"That's it. Go ahead and run. Run home and cry to mama. Me? I''m through running!"
So painting Bruce Campbell’s face into a ping-pong bat was my take on the word “Resilience” for the show.
